Topic III: Leadership and Supervision

Session 3:  Self Care for Leaders and Supervisors

Trauma –Informed Leadership is not just about having power, influence, and authority.  It calls those in leadership roles to have high levels of self-awareness and to avoid re-traumatization of staff by examining the culture of the agency and environments.  Trauma-informed leadership seeks to create a resilience-building, regulating work environment that can support employees impacted by trauma to learn, grow and heal.  Participants will use real life scenarios and gain new ideas for infusing Trauma-Informed Leadership strategies into their work environments.
