Let's have some pHun! Back by popular demand is the Games for STEM workshop in which you will learn how to play various games, how to hack various games, and make a game or two also! Whether building spatial skills, math skills, or strategy skills, games are a great way to engage students of all ages.
Teachers in southern Arizona will walk away with a $50 STEMAZing Kit which will allow you to immediately play some games with your friends, family, and students! You must be able to pick up your kit from the Pima County School Superintendent's Office in downtown Tucson (200 N Stone Avenue) the week before the workshop.
Teachers outside of southern Arizona are welcome to register as Virtual ONLY participants. You will be able to participate in the virtual workshop and you will receive all the lessons plans and game templates. You will not receive a STEMAZing Kit although a list of recommended supplies will be sent in advance of the workshop.

This workshop is part of the STEMAZing Workshop Series. The STEMAZing Project’s philosophy on teacher professional development is simple: It must be hands-on and engaging – putting the educators in the seat of the students to experience STEM lessons firsthand. It must provide the educators with the equipment and supplies they need to implement the lessons and activities in their classrooms the next day if they choose. It must be facilitated by master educators who have themselves been in the classroom.
The Pima County School Superintendent's Office and its partners often take photographs and videos during events and workshops as they occur. By registering for this event and/or workshop you are granting permission to use these images to promote our programs in print, on the web, and on social media.
