There is a clear need to support the development of teacher leaders in all systems.  The transition from facilitating learning for students into the role of facilitating for peers is exciting and, at the same time, requires the development of additional understandings, capabilities, and approaches.  This seminar is intended to support Teacher Facilitators in the following ways:

-Understanding Adult Learning Theory

-Developing practical approaches and strategies for conducting and facilitating productive meetings and sessions for peers.

-Developing an identity as a teacher leader and collaborator

Intended Audience: Classroom Teachers and any Educational Professionals who facilitate or plan to facilitate groups of teachers through PLC’s, Department collaborations and other school and district leadership opportunities.

Presenter: Mary Bouley, M.Ed

Mary Bouley is an experienced educator who is committed to purposeful innovation through cultivating human potential. Mary has been a Cognitive CoachingSM Training Associate for Thinking Collaborative since 2015. Starting with the unique essence of each individual and system, Mary provides coaching, training and facilitation that develops capabilities for self-management, reflection and regeneration. Mary has over 30 years of experience designing and implementing professional learning experiences for a wide variety of contexts and audiences. Her many areas include early childhood, higher education and community-based project learning. Her many clients have included United Way of Southern Arizona, Arizona K12 Center, CommunityShare, Pima County Schools, University of Arizona as well as a wide variety of urban and rural districts and schools.
