Come learn about stars and constellations with hands-on activities to help locate and stars and major constellations in the night sky.

This literacy-based facilitated by Dr Larry Lebofsky  and contributed to by Dr.  Sanlyn Buxner.  

Dr. Buxner is a local author who is employed at the Planetary Science Institute. Together with Dr. Lebofsky, an active scientist and space educator, this workshop will include hands-on STEM lessons for elementary & middle school students to learn about constellations.

You will receive a STEMAZing kit worth $75 that includes a Planisphere and materials for you to teach all of the lessons!

Audience: PreK-8th Grade Teachers from Southern Arizona

Facilitators: Sanlyn Buxner & Larry Lebofsky from the University of Arizona.
