Bring 3D Printing - and a 3D Printer - Into Your Classroom

Must attend all three days to receive the 3D A1 Bambu printer!!

September 11, 2026-Friday 4:00pm-7:00pm

September 12, 2026-Saturday 9:00am-3:00pm

September 13, 2026-Sunday 9:00am-3:00pm

Over three days you'll assemble your own Bambu Lab 3D printer from the kit, learn to design in Tinkercad from zero experience, and walk out with the printer, a full toolkit, and a pile of things you made — all of it yours to take back to your classroom.

If you've never opened a CAD program or touched a 3D printer, this workshop is for you!

Friday evening — Build night. Meet your printer part by part, then put it together with your own hands. By the time you leave, it's running its first print.

Saturday — Design Day. No CAD experience required, and none assumed. You'll go from placing your first shape to designing and printing three of your own creations, including a project built for your actual classroom.

Sunday — Make it yours. Explore the huge free model libraries teachers use every day, learn what separates a decorative print from one that has to work, and use digital calipers to measure a broken classroom item and print its replacement. We'll finish by setting up your Tinkercad classroom so your students can start designing too.

You'll leave with:

Bambu Lab 3D printer with multi-color AMS, assembled by you, tested and printing

Four colors of filament.

A complete starter tool kit (digital calipers, cleaning supplies, finishing tools)

Everything you printed over the weekend, from your first keychain to a replacement part you designed from measurements

A Tinkercad teacher account and classroom set up and ready for students

A lesson idea for your own grade level and subject, built with the group

What to bring: A laptop with Bambu Studio installed, laptop charger, something broken or that you want to duplicate from your classroom, and your curiosity.

We provide everything else, including breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday. Space is limited to 15 teachers.
